Easter weekend in Birmingham- My first road trip. We are thankful for our family and friends, and for getting to spend time with everyone on this weekend to celebrate the resurrection! We got to spend time with Papa, Kathy, Leslie and Kylie. Also saw Julie, Ethan, and Zachary and went walking with Chrissie, Kelley, Rebekah, (don't forget Frances, Mary Helen, Jack, Libby, and Noble)- we were called a baby parade by some onlookers. And had a quick trip to Gran-betty's for cookies and ice cream, where we met Charlie and Lee Lee. We went to church on Easter with Chief and Franny where we were introduced to Aunt Amanda and Uncle Frank and co. We met ma-maw on Easter, and saw Angie, Mark, and more cousins. Whew- we were tired when we got back to Memphis. Thanks to everyone for putting us up and helping out (and feeding us!)- maybe next time we can bring Brian! A special thanks to Frances for driving with me and helping with Eddie and Fletch...

The Fletchers finally meet- Granpapa is getting a chance to hear me squawk.

Chief and Papa getting to spend some time...

I love my cousins Frankie and Isabella, even though they have me in the pink chair.

Breakfast at Demetri's/Couch time at Gran-betty's/Smiling for Mama Jo.

I met Gran-papa Bill and Uncle John at a Gaines family Saturday morning breakfast- we sure did miss Gran-Dempie-

Can't wait to meet more friends and family!

a sad day...

Today began a long, fear-filled relationship with the pediatrician. Three nasty shots (the third is on his left leg). A big huge scream and it was over. I was Mr. personality flirting with the nurses and laughing it up with Dr. Chris, until the shots came. Then the fun and games were over.

We recovered fine, though, as you can see (pictured a couple of hours later). It was probably worse for mom than the little guy.

Not a great quality picture- but this is me in the morning. Lots of talking and smiling- so sweet... I really don't think the video does it justice. Also, it is amazing how terrible your own voice sounds on video. I also think it is funny that he is screaming as I write this post about how sweet he is in the morning.

This shirt reminds me of Frankie. Probably because we got it from him- Thanks!

This is our neighbor, Aubrey. Mom, Katie, and Aubrey have become great walking buddies since the weather is so nice. Aubrey gets to steer her stroller- Fletch is jealous of this feature.

Gina and Brian Harris come to visit!

This is my absolute favorite jacket. Don't know if you can see the ears on his hood.

check out the dimples. sort of like mom's, right?

Sometimes I'm very serious.

Not so crazy about the snow. maybe it was too bright. Maybe he didn't like the hair on Gina's snowman-

Our first big snow in Memphis- so glad the Harris's were here with us!

Per grandparents' request, some larger pics, better for printing! This is me first thing in the morning- I love the changing table...

being coy... Today I visited my friends at Methodist Univ. Hospital and I smiled for them. It was good to see everybody!

Around the house...

Fletcher will be 6 weeks old tomorrow! We are getting into a groove here at the house, and mom and baby both are crying much less. Still don't quite have the sleeping thing down- I guess we'll just have to be patient. We lost the camera battery charger for the first church outing and our first ride in the jogging stroller. Oh well- maybe next time... But we did find it yesterday, so here you go.

"I like to sit on the couch as well, Eddie."

Brian sporting cool dad gear. (home early from work for once!)

The shirt says it all-
